Discover
A scheduled workflow runs Text Search per category and area grid. Discovery calls return identity only — the cheap SKU tier — and never Place Details.
City business register
Search verified local businesses by trade, neighbourhood and opening hours — with listings kept current straight from Google.
01 — Taxonomy
Eight top-level categories, forty subcategories. Every Google Places type maps to exactly one of them, so imported records never land uncategorised.
02 — Marketplace
Featured placement is a paid tier. It is a database flag plus a date window — not a manual edit.
03 — Data pipeline
The directory is only as good as its data. Three workflows keep it honest — and keep the Google Places bill predictable.
A scheduled workflow runs Text Search per category and area grid. Discovery calls return identity only — the cheap SKU tier — and never Place Details.
Candidates are matched before a single Details call is spent. Exact Place ID updates in place; near matches go to a human queue; only genuine new records are inserted.
Nothing re-syncs on a blanket schedule. Ratings refresh weekly for claimed listings, hours monthly, identity fields quarterly — inside Google's caching terms.
04 — Locations
Locations are a hierarchy — city → area → postcode district — not a free-text field. That is what makes “plumbers in Stockbridge” a real page instead of a search query.
05 — Trust
Verification means an owner proved control of the business — by phone code, domain email or document — and a moderator approved it.
Claim it, verify ownership, then control your hours, photos, services and replies to reviews. Imported Google fields stay locked until you verify — so nobody can quietly rewrite a listing they do not own.
